George Mccommons

George McCommons, age 84 of Dongola, died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Union County Long Term Care Facility. He was born April 17, 1936 in Dongola, the son of Van and Lodema (Eddleman) McCommons. He married Marcella Dillow on May 5, 1951 in Piggot, AR. She preceded him in death on January 15, 2008. George is survived by his children, Carroll (Bobbie) McCommons of Dongola, Brenda Cooley of Dongola, and Diane (Paul) Kraatz of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Becky (Todd) Garner, Shannon (Scott) Vogler, George McCommons, Missie (Tim) Freeburg, Shelly Clark, Georgia Allen, Paula (Aaron) Stover, and Cody (Kim) Kraatz; 19 great-grandchildren; 8 Great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy Dixon of Benton and Wesley McCommons of Olathe, KS; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella McCommons; his parents; son-in-law, Richard Cooley; siblings, Vanita Neve, Mary Holeman, and Steve McCommons. Private graveside services will be held for the family.
