George H. Dangbar

George H. Dangbar, age 56 of Cobden, died at 8:15 am, Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home in Cobden. George was born on August 24, 1955 in Anna, the son of George and Dorothy (Aldridge) Dangbar. He married Barbara A. Penny on September 12, 1992 in Cobden. George is survived by his wife, Barbara Dangbar of Cobden; two children, Ashley Dangbar (Jamar Ivory) of Cape Girardeau, MO and Catrina Dangbar (Jimmy Gore) of Jonesboro; three step-children, David (Kati) Morales of Wylie, TX, Andrea Rodriguze of Waterford, MI and Jared (Jennifer) Eagle of Cobden; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Dangbar of Alto Pass; two sisters, Debbie Dangbar of Cobden and Helen Matheney of Carbondale; niece and nephew, Dot and Roy Davis of Alto Pass; a close friend, Larry Hackethal of Cobden; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Dangbar. George worked at Penn Aluminum in Murphysboro and retired after 37 years of employment. Funeral services for Mr. George H. Dangbar will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with the Rev. Rex Goforth officiating. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 11:00. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
