Gary Bennett

Mr. Gary Bennett, age 59 of Lick Creek, died at 4:51 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015 at his home. He was born on November 12, 1955 in Anna, the son of Claude Everett and Anna Laura (Foster) Bennett. Gary married Vickie Miller and she survives. Gary was a member of the United States Army and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Gary is survived by two sons; Jeremy Bennett of Marion, Jason Bennett of Jonesboro; grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Heern of Also Pass, Sherry Sloan of Marion; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Henry, Donald, and Alan Bennett. Funeral services for Mr. Gary Bennett will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Mike Miller officiating. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna from 10:00 a.m. until the service at noon. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda. Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
