Frieda Carol Talley

Mrs. Frieda Carol Talley, age 67 of Cobden, died at 10:54 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 in the Ridgway Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ridgway. She was born December 4, 1946 in Anna, the daughter of Robert and Lula Mae Barker Stone. She married Oren Talley Jr. on October 28, 1966 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1987. Frieda is survived by her daughter, Becky (Shannon) Lewey of Cobden; three grandchildren, Tyler, Austin and Dylan Lewey; three sisters, Mary Jane Morgan of St. Petersburg, FL, Bonnie (Dave) Hankey of St. Louis, MO, and Edith (Glenn) Hartsock of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oren Talley Jr.; two brothers, Robert E. Stone and Glen Hileman; and one sister, Betty Morgan. Frieda was a member of the Immanuel Worship Center in Cobden. She worked as a cook for the Village Inn in Cobden for many years. Frieda loved to quilt and enjoyed spending time with her quilting club. Funeral services for Mrs. Frieda Carol Talley will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Kenneth Mixen officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to American Syringomyelia & Chiari Alliance Project Inc. (A.S.A.P) or Angel's Cove. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
