Fred J. Wright

Fred J. Wright, age 86 of Anna, died Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born March 30, 1932 in Jonesboro, the son of Fred Roosevelt and Lilly Mae (Shepard) Wright. Fred is survived by his three children, Jacquelyn (Randall) Baldwin, Gwendolyn (Jerry) Fuller, and Danny R. (Rhonda Kay) Wright all of Granite City, IL; nine grandchildren, Cheryl Seemiller, Melissa Boss, Chris and Tim Baldwin, Tori Sanford, Scott Wright, Joscelyn Tatum, Branden Wright and Danielle Price; fifteen great-grandchildren, Zac, Brett, Katelyn, Meredith, Jesse, Xander, Miranda, Samantha, Garrett, Tyson, Jack, Mick, Hailey, Caden and Jacob; brother, James (Lillian) Wright of Scottsdale, AZ; very dear and special friend, Shirley Downey of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edna Martin; three brothers, Everett, Carl and Archie Wright. Fred worked for 30 years for General Motors in Auto Assembly until he retired. He dearly loved his family and will be missed by everyone. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday March 3. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
