Fred J. Colboth

Mr. Fred J. Colboth, age 87 of Anna, died at 7:19 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Union County Hospital in Anna. Fred was born April 16, 1925 in Centralia, the son of Arthur James and Audrey Wilkerson Colboth. He married Vera L. Haire on December 20, 1945 in Anna.Fred is survived by his wife, Vera Colboth of Anna; 2 children, Judy Wyatt of Anna and Arthur (Gwen) Colboth of Anna; 6 grandchildren, John Wyatt, Jason Wyatt, Jaret Wyatt, Heather Gruver, Jamie McLead, and Nathan Colboth; 5 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jim Colboth; and one sister, Eva Cardwell. Fred was veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Townsend F. Dodd American Legion Post in Anna.Graveside services for Mr. Fred J. Colboth will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Anna Cemetery. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery with military honors at the graveside by Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna and Illinois National Guard Honor Team from Marion. Friends are asked to go directly to the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home-Activity Fund. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna and at the graveside.
