Frankie Murray

Frankie Murray, age 75 of Anna, died June 26, 2019 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. He was born June 11, 1944 in Cobden, the son of William and Bertie (Burnett) Murray. He married Janice Graves on August 23, 1985 in Jonesboro. Frankie is survived by his loving wife, Janice Murray of Anna; son, John Murray of St. Louis; daughter, Lisa (Matt) Graham of Anna; three grandchildren, Dylan and Allyson Graham, Megan (Ryan) Chapman; two great grandchildren, Clayton and Willow Chapman; siblings, Bill (Nadine) Murray of Alto Pass, Donald (Linda) Murray and Betty Stegle all of Anna, Bertie Green of Birmingham, AL; sisters in law, Carolyn Murray of Jonesboro, Patsy Murray of Chicago, Edwina Murray of Anna and Mariam Murray of Alto Pass; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dorothy Murray; siblings, Junior, Charlie, Melvin, Jimmy and Bobbie Murray; sisters, Dorothy Burgess and Laverne Highland; sister in law, Sue Murray; brothers in law, Jim Stegle, Joe Green and Frank Highland. Frankie honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an over the road truck driver for many years. Frankie will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 29, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Nick DiMauro officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Military Honor Team of Marion. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 29, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Janice Murray. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
