Frank Geske Sr

Mr. Frank Geske Sr. age 92 of Anna, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his home in Anna. He was born May 26, 1919 in Edgerton, Wisconsin, the son of Frank Otto and Anna Mahar Geske. He married Phyllis Elaine Noelle on July 27, 1944 in Edgerton, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2000.Frank is survived by one son, Ron (Sharon) Geske of Ursa, Illinois; one daughter in law, Lynn Geske of Carbondale; grandchildren, Ronni (Greg) Selinger, Jamie (Amy) Kent; Travis (Joni) Geske; Ellen Geske (Caleb Robinson); Brian (Natalie) Neil; Michelle (Orlando) Zurita; Tammy (Andrew) Hogge; Melissa (Mike) Black; sixteen great grandchildren; a special friend, Anita Davis of Anna; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis Elaine Geske; one son, Frank Geske Jr.; one daughter, Cheryl "Ki" Kent; and one brother, Neil Geske. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, as a combat engineer stationed in the Philipines and the Aleutian Islands. Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks Lodge and he was a Kentucky Coronel. Cremation will be accorded; an open house for Mr. Frank Geske Sr. will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 875 Dogwalk Road in Anna, family and friends are invited to attend.
