Mr. Frank Edwards, age 92 of Ullin, died at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in the Integra Healthcare Center in Carbondale. He was born October 11, 1922 in Mildred, MO, the son of Claud and Velma Lois Kenny Edwards. He married Mary Starling on May 27, 1955 in Wolf Lake. She preceded him in death on July 18, 1986. Frank is survived by one sister, Helen Copeland of Anna; one brother, Richard Wayne (Norma Kay) Edwards of Olmsted; twelve nieces and nephews, Janet (Dean) Golliher of Anna, Joanne (Jerry) Dillow of Anna, Jim (Susan) Rowley of Herrin, Margie Brock of Goreville, Bill (Sharon) Butterfield of Topeka, KS, Bob (Pat) Butterfield of Georgetown, TX, David Bierbaum, Karl Bierbaum, and John (Trish) Edwards all of Olmsted, Larry (Jeanette) Edwards of Goreville, Brenda Lee Britton and Tanna Evetts; numerous cousins other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Edwards; two sisters, Opal Rowley and Betty Bierbaum; two brothers, Wesley and Leon Edwards; one step sister, Irene Sauerbrunn; and two nephews, Kenneth Rowley and Barry Butterfield. Frank was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Wolf Lake, and attended the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro. He worked twenty eight years as a payload operator for Golden Cat in Olmsted. Frank enjoyed fishing, camping, and collecting hats. He also loved to celebrate special occasions; many of which he had a hat for the occasion. Funeral services for Mr. Frank Edwards will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 1, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 1, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
