Florence Elizabeth Bartruff

Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Bartruff, age 96 of Anna, died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, August 18, 2013 in the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born November 29, 1916 in Cobden, the daughter of Charles and Mary Elizabeth Hartley Brasel. She married Wayne Bartruff on July 5, 1947 in Union County. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1968. Florence is survived by her three daughters, Linda (Ed) Boyd of Sikeston, Missouri, Joyce Bartuff of Anna, and Sharon (Phil) Hileman of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Valerie (John) Bollinger, Ned (Amy) Boyd, Justin (Brittany) Hileman, Megan (Josh) Tolson; eight great grandchildren, Ethan Hileman, Susan Boyd, Elizabeth Bollinger, Maren Tolson, Boyd Bollinger, David Bollinger, Reid Tolson and Emmitt Hileman; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Bartruff; great granddaughters, Laura and Anna Bollinger; five brothers and four sisters. Florence was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro for many years. She was retired from the Anna State Hospital. Florence was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than sixty years. She was an active participant at the Sunshine Inn, and was an RSVP volunteer. She was a loving mom, mam maw, and great mam maw and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Bartruff will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor David Eidson officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
