Evelyn B. Otten

Evelyn B. Otten, age 86 of Anna, died Friday, October 2, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born February 25, 1934 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Ralph and Naomi (DuRall) Boyd. She married Silas Otten on August 30, 1952 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2005. Evelyn is survived by her children, Marcia Abell of Anna, Mike (Tina) Otten of Anna, and Terri (Craig) Partridge of Anna; grandchildren, Heath Cunningham, Neely Otten, Matthew Otten, Mark (Kacey) Chamness, Mike (Kristin) Chamness, and Luke (Abby) Partridge; 9 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Silas Otten; and brother, Byrl Boyd. Evelyn was an avid Cardinal fan, and she enjoyed quilting and sewing. She always supported her children and grandchildren in sports. She worked as the bookkeeper for school district #37 for many years. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Everyone attending is required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. Maximum occupancy of the building will be kept to 50 people at a time. Memorials may be made to the A-J Athletics or the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
