Evelyn Marie Cox

Evelyn Marie Cox, age 92 of Anna, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born April 11, 1929 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Russell and Anna E. (Hedrick) Jones. Evelyn is survived by her son, James Dale Jones of Anna; five grandchildren, Shane (Sara) Jones of Jonesboro, Steven (Michelle) Jones of MI, Nicole (Kevin) Tucker of Jonesboro, Brian Jones of Texas, Sara (Matthew) Verble of Anna; nine great-grandchildren, Wyatt & Heidi Jones, Matthew, Kyle & Raylyn Jones, Reed Tucker, Mason & Alexis Jones, Leelah Verble; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; mother and step-father, Anna E. & John Cassel; and three sons, Roger Kent Jones, Tim G. Jones and Johnny Ray Jones. Evelyn was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. She retired from Tuck Tape working many years as a machine operator. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed her flower garden. Graveside funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Anna Cemetery with Danny McFarland officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Friends may call from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
