Evelyn Faye (Childers) Bridgeman

Evelyn Faye Bridgeman, age 85 of Anna, died Thursday, March 9, 2023 at her home. She was born June 24, 1937 in Anna, the daughter of George and Nellie (Nimmo) Childers. She married Roy Delano Bridgeman. He preceded her in death on May 23,  2014.

She is survived by her children, Roger Bridgeman of Anna and Linda Hammond of Quincy; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Landis and Reba Childers both of Anna; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Delano Bridgeman, son, Ross Wayne Bridgeman; daughter, Lois Evelyn Brooks; and brothers, Gene and Harry Childers.

Evelyn loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed living in the country and could be found most days outside gardening tending to her flowers.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Anna City Cemetery with Rev. Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
