Mrs. Eva Lucille "Tillie" Rich, age 83 of Carbondale, died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Rehab & Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro. She was born April 8, 1929 at her home in Cobden, the daughter of Wilburn and Ruby Garner Yates. She married David L. Rich on June 5, 1949 in Cobden. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1981.Tillie is survived by her daughter Deann (Jerry) McKinnies of De Soto; one son, Rod Rich of De Soto; four grandchildren, Michael (Jeri) McKinnies, Mandi Gale Rich, Kelli (Brad) Bean all of De Soto, Stephen Blake Shackleton of Austin, TX; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Dale (Diana) Yates of Menoka; three sisters, Shirley (Jessie Lee) Aldridge of Cobden, Glenda Acklin of Carbondale, and Gale (Tom) Shackleton of De Soto; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband David L. Rich; and one brother in law, Ernest Acklin.Tillie was a devoted to her family and was a loving mother and grandmother. Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Lucille "Tillie" Rich will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the funeral hour on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to TIP Hospice or Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Tillie's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the family at the Rehab and Care Center in Jackson County for their love, care and support given to her and her family during the last six years.
