Eva Mae Nance

Mrs. Eva Mae Nance, age 77, of Cobden, died at 11:45 A.M. Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born August 8, 1933 in Pomona, the daughter of William Butler and Ruby Forby Cobb. She married Lawrence Stanley "Jim" Nance on June 28, 1952 in Piggott, AR. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2008.Mae is survived by her four sons, Larry Joe (Tammy) Nance of Cobden, David Wayne (Sherry) Nance of Vergennes, Jeffery Charles (Aimee) Nance of Cobden, Neal Stanley (Amy) Nance of Cobden; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Edith (Paul) Pearson of Cobden, Pauline Pearson of Cobden, Barbara Cross of Peotone, IL., and Ellen Thomas of Eureka, IL.; one aunt, Inis Crider of Anna; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband "Jim"; one sister, Evelyn Lott; and one brother, Edward Cobb.Mae attended the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, and was active in other various churches.Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Mae Nance will be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda.
