Eva Ruth Brimm

Eva Ruth Brimm, age 90 of Anna, died at 12:35 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the Hillview Healthcare Center in Vienna. She was born August 9, 1927 in Belknap the daughter of William Florance and Martha Ann (Bost) Canada. She married Christopher C. Brimm on September 29, 1945 in Vienna. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2008. Eva is survived by her son, Larry Brimm of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Christie (David) Wright of Herrin; grandchildren, Scarlet Godwin, Caleb Trexler and Eric Brimm; great grandchildren, Benjamin Godwin, Olivia Godwin, Kylie Trexler, Kenzie Trexler, Justin Brimm, Corbin Brimm and one on the way; sisters, Iva McHugh of Vienna and Emily Taylor of Manteno; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Christopher C. Brimm; three brothers, Ralph, Melvin and Martin; three sisters, Mary Gustin, Amy Fisher and Madge Felker. Eva was a member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna. She worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory for over six years. After her job with Florsheim, she went on to work as a cook at the Union County Hospital. Memorial services for Eva Ruth Brimm will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Pentecostals-Southern Illinois Church in Carterville with Caleb Trexler officiating.
