Eugene King

Eugene King, 84 of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Union County Hospital. He was born on December 22, 1936 in Alto Pass, the son of Milton and Lorene (Lyerla) King. He married Esther Burnett at Bald Knob Cross on May 9, 2010. He is survived by his wife Esther King of Jonesboro; his children, Jackie Burnett and Ellen Blankenship; his grandchildren, Brittney and Jackie Burnett, Jr. and Jessie and Rene Nunez; local great-grandchildren, Zackary, Noah and Elijah Davis and many more; one sister Essie Loucks; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jessie Burnett; a grandson, Scaun Burnett and two brothers, Gaylon and Albert King. Eugene was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, hunting and digging ginseng. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Wolf Lake. There will be no public services at this time. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
