Mrs. Estella M. Jackson, age 67 of Cobden, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born on December 20, 1948 in Anna the daughter of Hubert Richard and Martha Evelene (Clutts) Clark. She married Charles Jackson, on November 19, 1966 in Makanda. Estella is survived by her loving husband, Charles Jackson of Cobden; eight children, Jeffery W. Jackson (Michelle Firguson) of Cobden, Penny R. (Mitchell) Alsip of Anna, Jennifer (Carl) Evans of Cobden, Tim E. (Jennifer) Jackson of Cobden, Brian Lee (Tammy) Jackson of Cobden, Charles E. Jackson (Karen Middleton) of Cobden, Steven G. (Tia) Jackson of Jonesboro, Sara J. Jackson (Jeff Davis) of Cobden; twelve grandchildren, Samantha (Ethan) Miller, Carl Evans, Dawn & Amanda Moren, Lexi Jackson, Kyle & Kaylee Hall, Trenton, Trever, Kasandra, Tyler and Mackenzie Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Savannah & Alaina Miller, D'Artagnan Hammond; two brothers, Mart (Lucy) Clark of Cobden, Robert (Martha) Clark of Cobden; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, Christopher Alsip, Kailey Jackson and Kristalyn Evans; and two brothers, John & Charley Clark. Estella was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Anna for many years. She also enjoyed crafts, cooking and most of all adored her grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Estella M. Jackson will be at 10:00 am Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery at Lick Creek. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
