Ervina M. (Rogers) Johnson

Ervina M. Johnson, age 94 of Jonesboro, went home to her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She was born December 15, 1930 in McClure, the daughter of Ervin Darwin and Mary Marie (Stewart) Rogers. She married Donald E. Johnson on January 9, 1949 in Anna. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2014.

Ervina is survived by her daughter, Rhonda and husband Jim Brumitt of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Lara and husband Mike Jackson of Bowling Green, KY; sister, Norma Sue and husband Scott Abney of Lafayette, IN; extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald E. Johnson; sister, Maxine McClane; and two brothers, Armand Rogers and Richard Rogers.

Ervina was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She owned and operated Ervina's Beauty Shop for many years. Ervina was an avid reader and in her early years she sewed and made clothes for Rhonda.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Pastor Perry Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon and until the service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions are preferred to the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Envelopes will be available at the church and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
