Mr. Ellison Foster "Fuzzy" Knight age 86 of Jonesboro, died at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at home with his family. He was born February 26, 1929 and raised in Wolf Lake, the son of William Riley and Ester Foster Knight, he became a lifelong resident of Jonesboro. He married Kathryn Kelley on June 30, 1973 in Jonesboro. Fuzzy is survived by his beloved wife of forty-two years, Kathryn Knight of Jonesboro; daughter, Vanessa (Tracey) Wilson of Mulkeytown; two step-daughters, Carrie (Kevin) Hess and Heidi Robinson all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Caleb (Brandy) Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Lance Dixon, Alexis (Jeremiah) Johnson, Olivia Hess, Anna Hess and Jake Robinson; two great-grandchildren, Drake Johnson and Tristin Wilson; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, William Lawrence; brother, Delbert Knight; sisters, Ruth Duke, Eula Randles, Beaulah Beardslee, Louise Skaggs and Jean Market. Fuzzy worked for many years at the Trojan Power Plant in Wolf Lake as a mechanic. After retiring from the power plant he started yet another career with the Union County Housing Authority in Anna where he retired. He was a member of the Jonesboro First Baptist Church for many years. Fuzzy loved to work, walk, play cards and drink coffee with all the locals at the Dixie. He loved to flea market and was always looking for a bargain, but most of all he loved his wife and his family. He was a proud Korean Veteran and still enjoyed visiting at the Veterans Home in Anna, there was a special place in his heart for all Veterans. Fuzzy was an avid horse rider and was always present in the parades on one of his horses. Funeral services for Mr. Ellison Foster "Fuzzy" Knight will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Mike Turner officiating with cremation to follow. Friends may call after 1:00 and until the service hour at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home Activity Fund or the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
