Eileen Imogene Gunn

Mrs. Eileen I. Gunn, age 83, of Cobden, died at 2:45 P.M. Monday, October 18, 2010 at her daughters home in Buncombe. She was born June 20, 1927 in Cobden, the daughter of Brooks and Della Ragsdale Friese. She married Paul Gunn on June 8, 1946 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1997.Eileen is survived by two daughters Kathryn (Rod) Schimpf of Carbondale and Gloria Jean (Dale) Calhoun of Buncombe; four grandchildren, Brian (Missy) Calhoun of Jonesboro, Darren (Debi) Hartsock of Frisco, TX., Scott Calhoun of Jonesboro, Tracey (Lindell) Lechtenberger of Buncombe; two step-grandchildren, Dan Schimpf of St. Louis, Wendy (Mike) Neal of Belleville; ten great grandchildren, McKayla, Michael and Madison Calhoun, Crystal and Alyee Calhoun, Jacob and Samantha Lechtenberger, Ashleigh and Brooke Hartsock, and Makenzie Homan; three step great grandchildren, Bryan and Scott Throgmorton, and Erin Schimpf; one sister, Juanita Camden of Jacksonville, FL.; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; brother Finch Friese; sister, Betty Friese; granddaughter, Laurie Homan; and great granddaughter, Madeline Homan.Eileen was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. She was an avid quilter for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Eileen I. Gunn will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday October 22, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Paul Tirey officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 P.M. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
