Edward "Eddie" Crowell, Jr.

Mr. Edward "Eddie" Crowell, Jr., age 88 of Plano, Texas, formerly of Anna, died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his home in Plano, Texas. He was born on November 3, 1926 in St. Clair, Illinois, the son of Edward Sr. and Maude M. Brim Crowell. Eddie was a member of the Local 318 Union for 70 years. He was the oldest surviving union member of Local 318 and he was to be honored for his service in June. He worked at E.T. Simonds Construction Company for 50 years. Eddie was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed gardening, antique clocks, and was a member of the Anna Moose Lodge. Eddie leaves behind a daughter, Patricia Kay "Patty" (Ed) Jenkins of Plano, TX; step-daughter, Cheryl Isom; two step-sons, Chuck Isom and Mike Isom; grandchildren, Cameron Early and Aimee Early; great-grandchild, John Early; numerous nieces and nephews, including, Buzz Crowell, Alice Tucker, Carolyn Cates, Wayne Crowell, and Becky Johnson; beloved dog, Chocolate; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children, Edward Crowell III and Shelia Ann Crowell; one grandson, Mark Edward Early; one brother, George Crowell; and one sister, Ruth Swartz. Funeral services for Mr. Edward "Eddie" Crowell Jr. will be on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Gary Woodard officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. in the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
