Edward A. "Buzz" Crowell

Edward A. "Buzz" Crowell, age 65 of Anna, died unexpectedly, Friday March 16, 2018 in Memorial Hospital in Carbondale at 2:40 p.m. Buzz went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Buzz was born July 28, 1952 in Union County, the son of George Allen and Mary Magdeline (Dirden) Crowell. He married Debra Morrison on April 28, 1973 in the Kornthal Church in Jonesboro. Buzz is survived by his loving wife of almost forty five years, Debra Crowell of Anna; son Christopher Crowell Anna; three sisters, Caroline (Ed) Cates of Anna, Alice (Randy) Tucker of Jonesboro and Becky Johnson of Murphysboro; sister in law, Dianna Morrison of Anna; brother in law, Tim (Shelley) Morrison of Cobden; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and many, many friends, all of whom he loved very deeply. He loved the Reed family and always looked forward to spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother in law, Pearl Jean (Reed) Morrison; father in law, Elton Ray Morrison; brother, George Dewayne Crowell; uncle and namesake, Eddie Crowell; and nephew, Shawn Reed Holbrook. Buzz loved to grow flowers; collect pocket knives; and repair gear driven clocks. He was retired from the Union County Housing Authority. He worked in maintenance for almost twenty five years and also worked for the City of Anna. Buzz was a people person who always tried to find the good in them. He loved his wife and son. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, he loved to laugh and talk with his uncles. Buzz will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. Funeral services for Edward A. "Buzz" Crowell will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
