Edna Eva Tellor

Mrs. Edna Eva Tellor, age 88 of Alto Pass, died at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 in the Herrin Hospital. She was born March 12, 1926 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Everett D. and Eva A. Lindsey Baltzell. She married James A. Tellor on January 11, 1945 in Union County. He preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage. Edna is survived by her two daughters, Brenda (Ron) Parmly of Goreville, Sandy Stover of Lick Creek; four grandchildren, Lori Parmly of Jonesboro, Lane Parmly of Carterville, Shannon Menkhaus of Quincy, Aaron (Paula) Stover of Lick Creek; thirteen great grandchildren, Brittni Simmons, Baleigh Parmly, James, Jacob, Lee and Jonathan Parmly, Levi and Alyxsandra Wilkins, Luke and Abby Menkhaus, Kaylee, Kenzie and Kaleb Stover; two great-great grandchildren Jailynn Pratis and Jaxon Simmons; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James A. Tellor; grandson, Jonathan Luke; son in law, Bill Stover; brothers, Lloyd, Carl, Howard, and Denzil Baltzell; sisters, LaWanda Eastwood, Mildred Lyerla, Verna Gates and Imogene Fox. Edna was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Cobden for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and cooking for her family. Funeral services for Mrs. Edna E. Tellor will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass with Pastor Paul Tirey officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass.
