Edgar "Ed" Johnson

Edgar "Ed" R. Johnson, age 85, of Wickliffe formerly of Anna, died on Monday, December 28, 2020 in the Lifecare Center of La Center, KY. He was born October 28, 1935 in Miller City the son of Marshall and Mabel (Dover) Johnson. He married, June Brown on April 28, 1956 in Apopka, Fl. She preceded him in death in October of 2018. Edgar is survived by his children, Guy (Yvette) Johnson of Wickliffe, KY and Tammy (Bill) Stubbs of Celestine, IN; grandchildren, Crystal Villar, William R. Stubbs, Ellen Stubbs, Lexi Johnson and Eli Johnson; great grandchildren, Kimberly Villar and Bristol Persinger; brother, Russell (Judy) Johnson of Jonesboro; sister, Cheryl Appleberry of Peoria; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Johnson; and son, Jimmy Dale Johnson. Edgar honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He served during the Korean War. Edgar genuinely loved people. He was the leader of his family and loved spending time with them. He really enjoyed spending time fishing as well. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 in the New Beginnings Community Worship Center with Pastor Guy Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in the New Beginnings Community Worship Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the service. Everyone attending the service are required to wear face coverings and observe social distancing guidelines. Maximum occupancy will be limited to 25 people in the building at a time.
