Earl Wayne Penrod

Mr. Earl Wayne Penrod, age 73, of Anna, died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born April 14, 1938 in Alto Pass, the son of Charles and Margaret Miller Penrod. He married Bonnie Livesay on October 5, 1990 at the Ware Baptist Church. Earl is survived by his wife, Bonnie Livesay Penrod of Anna; two sons, Wes (Pam) Penrod of Cobden, Allen (Erica) Penrod of Anna; two step-sons, Larry Copeland of Anna and Patrick Copeland of DeSoto, Missouri; one step-daughter, Candy (Greg) Randles of Alto Pass; two grandchildren, Chola Penrod, and Ethan Penrod; seven step-grandchildren, Marla Kay, Jessica, Emily, Abby, Lisa, Ethan, and Kirk; several step great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Gemar of Phoenix, Arizona, Donna Torrens of Catlett, Virginia, Linda Tucker of Orlando, Florida; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Earl was a member and deacon of the Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. He was a wonderful Christian, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was always there for his family and anyone who needed a helping hand. Earl proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Bigler Lumber Company in Anna and retired from the AJCHS as a custodian. Funeral services for Mr. Earl Wayne Penrod will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Danny and Davy Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Dialysis Center in Carbondale. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
