Earl Wayne "Mutt" Myers

Mr. Earl Wayne "Mutt" Myers, age 70 of Cobden, died at 12:21 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 in Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born February 18, 1944 in Alto Pass, the son of Paul and Charlene Wilcoxen Myers. Mutt is survived by his daughter, Melissa Wiggins of Gainesville, GA; son, Josh Eades of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren; other close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Paul Ray Myers and Charles Gordon Myers. Mutt worked many years as a Union Plumber. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a lifetime member of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Memorial services for Mr. Earl Wayne "Mutt" Myers will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 in the First Baptist Church in Cobden with Pastor Ed Falgout officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Honor Team in Marion.
