Earl L. Edmonds

Mr. Earl L. Edmonds, age 87 of Anna, died at 8:58 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin. He was born on April 17, 1927 in West Frankfort, the son of Loren and Ada (Johnson) Edmonds. He was united in marriage to Lola J. Otten on October 8, 1947 in Piggott, AR and celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year. Earl is survived by his wife Lola Edmonds of Anna; one son, Dennis (Charla) Edmonds of Manchester, MO; one grandson, David Edmonds; one granddaughter, Laura (Shaun) Cox; two great-granddaughters, Jade Edmonds and Annabelle Cox; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded by his parents and one brother, Carl Edmonds. Earl was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church for many years. He was a member of the Anna Masonic Lodge #520 and also a past president of the Kiwanis. Earl was a past director of the Illinois Association of School Boards and he served on the Anna District 37 school board for twenty-nine years. Funeral services for Mr. Earl L. Edmonds will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday November 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anna Heights Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
