Dorothy Ann Kacinski, age 74 of Buncombe, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her home. She was born on February 4, 1948 in Streator, Illinois the daughter of James and Anne (Churney) Wilkinson. She married Larry Kacinski on May 17, 1969.
She is survived by he husband, Larry Kacinski of Buncombe; three children, Alan (Jennifer) Kacinski of Goreville, Lori (Bryan) Murphy of Palm Desert, CA and Michael (Colleen) Kacinski of Island Lake; grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Jillian, Kirstyn, Kaitlyn and Jaidyn; three great-granddaughters; a brother, Richard (Diane) Wilkinson of The Villages, FL; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Denny Wilkinson.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed camping and traveling. She was a member of the Cowgirls of the Shawnee and loved horseback riding.
Funeral mass for Dorothy Kacinski will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Anna with Father Uriel Salamanca officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The Rosary service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
