Dorothy Elizabeth Stanley Whaley

Dorothy Elizabeth Stanley Whaley, died Sunday, February 3, 2019 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born January 25, 1948 in Carbondale, the daughter of Harry and Polly (Hawk) Williams. She married Ronald Dean Stanley and later married Clyde Whaley. Both husbands preceded her in death. Dorothy is survived by her seven children, Janis Lynne (Kenneth) Dunn of Carbondale, Terry Allen (Donna) Stanley of Cobden, Julie Ann (Spencer) McDonald of Gering, NE, Sheila Marie (David) Rexroat of Wildwood, MO, Shelly Gaye Parker of Gering, NE, Juanita Lucille (Billie) Plott of Anna and Beth Renee Patterson of Carbondale; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janie (Rudy) Stowers of Benton, Pearl Williams and Cheryl Williams both of Cobden; niece, Kelli Pearson of Cobden; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two daughters, Mildred "Millie" Etherton and Karen Faye Gardner; and one son, Ronald "Ron" Dean Stanley Jr. Dorothy worked many years as an accountant. She loved her family, she dearly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was an animal lover and enjoyed her cats. Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
