Dorothy Spurlock

Mrs. Dorothy Spurlock, age 85 of Anna, died at 6:49 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born March 28, 1931 in Union County, the daughter of Clarence and Nora (Dover) Hinkle. She married Roy Pitts on March 16, 1952 in Cobden. Roy preceded her in death on November 26, 1994. She later married George Spurlock on October 17, 1998 in Anna. George preceded her in death on May 11, 2013. Dorothy is survived by her foster daughter, Cheryl (Simpkins) Taylor and husband Richard Taylor of Christopher; cousins, other relatives and friends; She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one brother, Frances "Sonny" Hinkle. Dorothy was a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church for many years. For the last several years she attended the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro. She worked with her parents at Hinkles Grocery Store. Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Spurlock will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Mark Goins officiating.
