Dorothy E. Kohler

Mrs. Dorothy E. Kohler, age 86 of Anna, died at 7:52 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 at her home in Anna. She was born September 8, 1924 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Guy and Hulda Reischauer Bowen. She married Kenneth Kohler on October 20, 1945 in Jonesboro. Dorothy is survived by her husband Kenneth Kohler of Anna; two daughters, Linda (Jeff) Webb of Anna, Sharon Kohler (David Futrell) of Carbondale,; one grandson, K.W. Carter (Tammy Wheaton) of Makanda, two sisters, Louise Dillow of Anna, Frances Lentz of Bradley, IL; her personal caregiver, Gina Boyer of Dongola; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and Bill Bowen; sister, Betty Mowery; and grandson, Tim Sadler.Dorothy was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Anna.Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy E. Kohler will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor David Eidson officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. and until the funeral hour on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
