Dorothy Hartsock

Mrs. Dorothy Hartsock, age 78 of Cobden, died at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the home of her son in Cobden. She was born December 27, 1933 in Wolf Lake, the daughter of Milton and Helen Rendleman Hubbs. She married Donald Eugene Hartsock on June 17, 1950 in Cobden. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2000. Dorothy is survived by her son, Danny (Karen) Hartsock of Cobden; two grandchildren, Yvonne (Danny) Windings of Cobden, Eugene (Emily) Hartsock of Anna; six great grandchildren, Kaylee, Bradley, Sydney and Lindsey Windings, Allison and Ashley Hartsock; six step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and fifteen brothers and sisters. Dorothy was a life-long member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Cobden. She retired from Choate Mental Health and Development Center as a technician. Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Hartsock will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Cobden with Rev. Kenneth Mixen officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the church and at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
