Doris H. Choate

Doris H. Choate, age 97 of Lick Creek, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at her home. She was born August 10, 1923 in Blytheville, AR, the daughter of Samuel Morris and Frankie Mae (Epperson) Singleton. She married Raymond Choate on May 3, 1941 in Blytheville, AR. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2012. Doris is survived by her children, Carolyn (Gladwyn) Hall of Lick Creek, Barbara (Joe) Gerkin of Grand Rapids, MI, Frankie (Ron) Kelley of Montgomery, Steve Choate of Aurora, and Bryan (Jill) Choate of Oswego; grandchildren, Adam Hall, Aaron (Lisa) Hall, Ethan Hall, Jennifer (Dave) Molag, Peter (Shelly) Gerkin, Amy (Eric) Greenfield, Raymond (Shanna) Choate III, Zachary (Nicki) Kelley, Stevie Choate, Joshua (Cristyl) Choate, Lindsay (Greg) Olson, and Daniel Choate; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Enyart; brother, Morris (Brenda) Singleton; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Choate; son Raymond Choate Jr.; brothers, Charles Singleton and Joe Singleton; and sisters, Geraldine Keeling and Mary Sorokowski. Doris attended Anna Heights Baptist Church and she loved her church and attending services. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and cooking. She loved her family very much and was always there with a comforting hug. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Anna Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the church. Everyone attending will be required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. Memorial may be made to the Anna Heights Baptist Church or the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the church and the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
