Doris Jean Bennett

Mrs. Doris J. Bennett, age 62 of Johnston City, formerly of Anna, died at 12:14 p.m. Monday September 5, 2016 at her home. She was born March 30, 1954 in Anna, the daughter of Rollie and Billie Jean (Lambert) Wright. Doris is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Bennett of Whiteash and Jason (Jamine) Bennett of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Linda Hickam of Johnston City; and one brother, Drury Wright of Johnston City; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Ronan Bennett. Doris worked as a Registered Nurse for the VA Hospital in Marion for many years. Graveside services for Mrs. Doris J. Bennett will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
