Donna F. Vance, 86, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, Saturday, March 2, 2024. She was born October 14, 1937, in Royalton, the daughter of Kurt and Grace (Fairley) Wolff. She married David A. Vance on September 7, 1960 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2007.

Donna worked for Helene Curtis in Chicago before marriage. She then stayed home to raise her three daughters, before returning to work at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She worked as a secretary for over twenty years, mainly in the English Department.

She is survived by her three daughters, Diane (Kevin) Vance-Snyder of Jackson, MO, Debbie (Jeff) Lence of Jonesboro, and Denise Vance of Cobden; seven grandchildren, Tony Lawrence, Theresa (Jeff) Gers, David (Toccarra) Lawrence, Erica Rains, Jeffery Lence, Kylee Angell, and Levi (Rae) Lence; thirteen great-grandchildren, Allison, Rileigh, Jose, Scott, Titan, Gavin, Skylar, Connor, Jeffery, Reece, Eleanor, Guinevere, and Charlotte; sister, Wanda Rybout of Carterville; nieces; nephews; other relatives; friends, and her four faithful companions, Miss Princess, Mr. Bumble, Blue, and Trouble. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister-in-law, Derrill and Verilee Wolff; brothers-in-law, John Vance, Bruce Vance, Gary Vance, and Theodore Rybout.

According to her wishes, she will be cremated. There will be no services.

Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S of Anna or St. Francis Community Animal Rescue and Education of Murphysboro, IL. Envelopes will be available at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Homes.
