Donald William Casper

Donald William Casper Sr. age 70, of Murphysboro, passed away, at home Thursday, January 30, 2025. He was born September 13, 1954 in Cobden, the son of William Lynn and Shirley (Cross) Casper.

Donald is survived by his mother, Shirley Casper of Carbondale; son, Dee (Sarah) Casper of Pottsville, PA; brother-in-law, Charles McCann of Carbondale; nephew, Chad (Ashley) McCann; niece, Jamie (Jeff) Howard; great-nieces, Jaycee McCann, Madeline McCann, and Elizabeth Howard; great-nephew, Thomas Howard; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Lynn Casper and sister, Jacqueline McCann.

Donald worked for Jackson County Senior Adult Services. He was a man of great faith. He seen himself as a servant to others and enjoyed serving his community however he could. Donald had a passion for photography, especially photographing things in nature.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will be private at the Casper Cemetery in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Casper Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
