Donald S. Blakley

Donald S. Blakley, age 66 of Cobden, died Friday, March 1, 2019 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born October 13, 1952 in Springfield, the son of Arthur William and Mildred Lucille (Lay) Blakley. Donald is survived by his son, Forrest Blakley and daughter, Mary Blakley both of Cobden; brother, Dallas (Sandy) Blakley of Roanoke, TX; sister, Sheri (Michael) Voiles of Springfield; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Carl Rubison, who helped raise Donald. He attended the Southern Range Cowboy Church. He was currently employed by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and also was a life member. He honorably served his country in the United States Marines Corp during Vietnam. Funeral services for Donald S. Blakley will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Jason Forby officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Interment will be in the Rose Lawn Memorial Park in Springfield at a later date. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
