Don E Garrott

Don E. Garrott, age 96 of Jonesboro, died at 2:30 pm, Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Goldencrest Assistant Living Center in Morrow, Georgia. Don was born on September 14, 1915 in Dongola, the son of J. Roy Milligan Garrott and Elsie Luetta (Hoffner) Garrott. He married Martha A. Roberson on October 2, 1943 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and she preceded him in death on January 11, 2011. Don is survived by a daughter, Georgia (Tom) Marcovecchio of Stockbridge, GA; one granddaughter, Kim (Josh) Hicks of Americus, GA; one brother-in-law, Len Klenzak of Kankakee; one niece; two nephews, other relatives and many friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Martha Garrott; and an infant son, Noel Dean Garrott. Don was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Jonesboro and he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Funeral services for Mr. Don E. Garrott will be conducted at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 5 until 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the 1st Baptist Church of Jonesboro or the Sunshine Inn. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
