Don Ford

Don Ford, age 73 of Grand Tower, died Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. He was born on September 17, 1949 in Anna, the son of Garnet and Martha (Wilson) Ford. He married Mary Rumfelt on November 15, 1974 in Wolf Lake.

Don is survived by his wife, Mary Ford of Grand Tower; a son, Jesse (Heather) Ford of Carbondale; brother, David (Barbara) Ford of Cape Girardeau, MO; niece, Amy Ford of Grand Tower; very special friends, Rodney Snider, Buddy Tripp, Rodney Reynolds and Michelle Modglin; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death his parents and a brother, Dick Ford.

Graveside funeral services for Don Ford will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower with Bob Henson officiating. Interment will follow. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
