Derek D. Blume

Derek "D" Blume, age 34 of Cordova, TN, died Thursday, March 14, 2024. He was born August 26, 1989 in Paducah, the son of Charles Glenn and Mary Sue (McAdoo) Bridges. On November 14, 2017 he married Derrek Blume in Fort Worth, TX.

Derek loved the outdoors and travelling. He loved to go camping and take float trips. He took great joy in exploring new places and trying new things. He especially loved the beach. Derek had a kind and generous heart; he would help anyone. He adored his family and many pets, especially Berniece, their beloved dachshund.

Derek is survived by his husband, Derrek Blume; father, Charles "Chuck" Bridges; maternal grandmother, Marla McAdoo; siblings, Rachel "Nikki" Simmons, Ashley Bridges, Tommy Bridges, Brittany Allen-Brantley, Noah Bridges, and Mindy Bridges; ten nieces and nephews; aunt, Cathy (Ron) Spurlock; several aunts and uncles; other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Harvey; paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather, and brother Dustin McAdoo.

Funeral services for Derek will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Ken Wilson officiating. Friends and family may call from 12:00 noon until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
