Delia Pauline Atchison, age 96 of Racine, WI, formerly of Pomona, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 in the Ridgewood Care Center in Racine, WI. She was born December 23, 1922 on the family farm in Pomona, Illinois to Harrison and Myrtle Nance Tripp. She married Ralph Norman Weiss, August 18, 1938 in Alto Pass. They later lived in State Park, Illinois (1949), Dupo (1951), Cahokia (1953) and Collinsville (1961). She married Floyd Atchison in 1980. They moved from Collinsville to Wentzville, MO in 1984, then to Las Vegas, NV where Floyd died in February 1998. She moved to Racine, WI in July, 2003 to be near her oldest daughter and family. She was always active in her church, singing in the choir and involved in women's activities. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and oil painting. She leaves her family of 2 daughters Loretta Hall (Chuck) of Racine WI, Carolyn Pastore, of Montpelier Vt. and a sister Sylvia Jones, of Troy, IL. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and 11 step great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a sister Imogene, 4 brothers, Clyde, Hillary, Harrison, and Donald and son-in-law Harold Pastore. Graveside services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in the Dutch Ridge Cemetery in Pomona. Interment will directly follow. Everyone is asked to go directly to the cemetery.
