Deborah Marie Pender

Mrs. Deborah M. "Debbie" Pender, age 53 of Mundelein, IL died at 3:55 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 in St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was born August 11, 1960 in Erie, PA, the daughter of Donald and Joan Knauer Stein. She married Jeffrey Pender on December 9, 1978 in Libertyville. Debbie is survived by her husband Jeff Pender of Mundelein, IL; daughters, Lisa Pender of Mundelein, Kristan (Aaron) Kitterman of McHenry, IL; one son, Danny Pender of Mundelein; one granddaughter, Kylee Kitterman; parents, Donald and Joan Stein of San Tan Valley, Arizona; one brother, Jeff (Lori) Stein Lindenhurst, IL; one sister, Tammy (William) Parker of Chandler, AZ; mother in law, Lou Ella Pender of Anna; brothers and sisters in law, Brian (Shelly) Pender and Dale (Sandy) Pender all of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father in law, Gilbert Pender; grandparents, Ed and Cecil Casper, Al and Hilda Knauer and Ignatius and Ester Stein. Debbie worked for Hawthorn Mellody Farms and Quill for several years. Later, Debbie decided to do what she really loved andstarted in-home daycare. She enjoyed the outdoors, putting puzzles together, and spending time with her family and granddaughter. After a very long battle, Debbie received a heart and kidney transplant on August 13, 2013; she gave a courageous fight for fourteen weeks post transplant. The Pender family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN for their compassionate care for Debbie. Funeral services for Mrs. Deborah Marie "Debbie" Pender will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Ed Falgout officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
