Deborah Lynn "Debbie" (Pittman) Miller

February 10, 1951 — December 24, 2024

Anna, Illinois

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Miller, born February 10, 1951, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, near her home of Anna, Illinois, surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, mischief, and a never-ending playlist of her own whimsical songs. Debbie, a self-proclaimed "forever girlfriend" of Mickey Mouse, now joins her parents, Francis "Peggy" and Dean Pittman, in the ultimate adventure. Debbie had a way of making everything brighter, funnier, and more magical, and while we imagine she's already redecorating heaven for Christmas, those of us left behind will do our best to carry on her traditions—though we doubt we'll ever match her festive flair. Debbie's greatest joy was her family, who she adored (even when they didn't laugh at her jokes). She leaves behind her daughter, Deana Zastudil, and her son-in-law, Robert, who she lovingly teased every chance she got; her grandkids, Ashley Morris (Donnie Kiernan), Christopher Morris, and Megan Morris (Joey Scheerle), who all inherited her mischievous spirit; step-grandchildren, Amanda (Zac) Lois and Joshua (Ashley) Zastudil; her great-grandchildren, Kolt, James Edenfield, and Bella Kiernan, who she loved to spoil; step-great grandchildren, Grant, Gavin, Grahm and Amelia; brother, Dean (Tina) Pittman; sister in law, Barb Pittman; cousin and lifelong best friend, Toni Livengood, her partner-in-crime for every shenanigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mark Pittman. Debbie adored her family, Christmas (especially the kind with lights you can see from space), daytime soaps, and singing about just about anything. Whether it was a song about doing the dishes or an ode to her great-grandkids, her creations were always funny, heartfelt, and entirely Debbie. She brought joy and giggles wherever she went—and let's be honest, she probably left a trail of glitter, too. A private family ceremony will be held in Champaign, where Debbie will be entombed alongside her parents at Mt. Hope Cemetery. She'd probably tell us to skip the tears and have a toast instead, preferably with a Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie in hand. Debbie, you were a firecracker in a world that sometimes forgets how to sparkle. Thank you for reminding us to laugh a little louder, love a little harder, and never, ever grow up. We'll keep singing for you.
