David W. Mathis

Mr. David W. Mathis, age 54 of Anna, died at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born February 27, 1960, the son of Robert E. Lee and Barbara Dee Speck Mathis. He married Teena Sadler on July 23, 1999 in Jonesboro. David is survived by his wife, Teena Mathis of Anna; daughter, Amber Nicole Mathis of Anna; brothers and sisters, Michael (Brooksie) Mathis of Indianapolis, IN, Jim (Jeannie) Branch of McClure, Bob Mathis of Anna, Brad (Lisa) Mathis of Evansville, IN, Toni (Chris) Livengood of Anna, Donnetta (Tim) Plunkett of Fort Myers, FL; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. David worked as a direct service provider for the J.R. Center and Rave. According to his wishes, David will be cremated. Private family services will be announced at a later date.
