Darlene Sronce

Darlene Sronce, age 72 of Cobden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born April 6, 1951 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Albert Leon and Ara Sarena (Bittle) Dallas. She married Ray Dean Sronce October 8, 1971 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on September 17, 2001.

Darlene was a wonderful homemaker. She absolutely adored raising her children, cooking, and entertaining. Most of all, she truly loved caring for others. She enjoyed travelling to the beach and the mountains, always bringing a little bit of her trip back home with her. Her free spirit and caring nature brought joy to others. Darlene enjoyed treasure hunting at Goodwill or yard sales. Darlene was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Alto Pass. She loved singing and worshiping with her church family.

She is survived by her children, Valery Sronce of Metropolis, Juahn Sronce (Penny Slocumb) of Dothan, AL, and Tiffany (Derrick) Bowles of Cobden; grandchildren, Josh, Trentin, Sebastian, Alex Sronce, and Georgia Bowles; siblings, Gordon Dallas of Edwardsville, Rayburn Dallas of Granite City, and Mickie Myers of East Cape Girardeau; other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Dean Sronce; infant brother, Burl Dean Bittle; brother-in-law, Sidney Myers, and sisters-in-law, Barb and Josephine Dallas. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Donations can be made to the family of Darlene Sronce. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
