Danny L. Freyenberger

Danny L. Freyenberger, age 73 of Cobden, died Monday, February 26, 2024 at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born April 25, 1950 in Cobden, the son of Ann Brown. He married his sweetheart, Karen Lauderdale on May 9, 1969.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Karen Freyenberger of Cobden; daughter, Tammy Clark of Cobden; son, Billy (Wanda) Freyenberger of Herrin; grandchildren, Sarah (Caleb) Burton, Eric (Kierah) Freyenberger, and Mia Bangs; great-grandchildren, Camie Jo Clark-Blake, Eyan Burton, Trapper Burton, Kash Freyenberger; sister, Debbie Tadlock of Marion; sister in law, Myra Freyenberger of Alto Pass; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Ricky Freyenberger; two sisters, Sarah Lou Freyenberger and Vicky K. Roe; and son-in-law, Junior Clark.

Danny was retired from the city of Crainville, what he loved most was volunteering his time at Clark and Son Salvage. Danny would do anything he could for anyone needing help, never asking for anything in return. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and watching the grandkids sporting events. In his free time he liked to mow and bush hog and once a month he and his wife Karen would go to the flea market in DuQuoin.

Visitation services will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
