Daniel Joseph Ulrich

Mr. Daniel Joseph Ulrich, age 57 of Dongola, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home in Dongola. He was born December 12, 1954 in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Joseph Augustine and Opal Inman Ulrich. He married Jenan Browning on May 28, 1977 in Anna. Daniel is survived by his wife Jenan Ulrich of Dongola; mother, Opal Ulrich of Anna; one son, James Joseph Ulrich and fiancé Mary Stobesand of St. Louis, Missouri; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father; one sister Sherry Ayers and one brother in law, Darris E. Ayers. Daniel was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. He was a member of the BAC Local 7 and worked many years as a brick mason. Daniel was a musician and he enjoyed the outdoors and loved the Shawnee National Forest. Daniel was a loving father, husband and son. He will be warmly remembered and dearly missed. Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Joseph Ulrich will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna with Father Federico Higuera officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Rosary will be at 7:30 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
