Connie Lucille Rhodes

Mrs. Connie (Lucille) Rhodes, age 79, of Alto Pass, died at 10:18 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born November 12, 1931 in Balcom, IL, the daughter of Dewey Washington Sr. and Estella Vinson Gibson. She married Billie L. Rhodes on January 3, 1951 in Jonesboro. Lucille is survived by her husband Billie of Alto Pass; two sons, Stanley (Barbara) Rhodes of Herrin, Everett (Sarah) Rhodes of Jackson, MO; five grandchildren, Christina (Frank) Price Jr. of West Plains, Shane Rhodes of Herrin, Shannon (Melissa) Rhodes of St. Louis, Kyle Rhodes of Cape Girardeau, Levi Rhodes of Jackson, MO; two great grandchildren, Timothy and Dakota Price; one brother, Dewey Washington Gibson Jr. of Makanda; two sisters, Pat Bryant of Alto Pass and Sharon "Butch" Schafer of Norman, OK; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lewis Andrew Gibson, Leroy Gibson; and two sisters, Aretta Goforth and Bonnie Trexler. Lucille was a member of the Ware Pentecostal Church in Ware for many years. Funeral Services for Mrs. Connie (Lucille) Rhodes will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass with Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass.
