Clifford Willie Cavins Jr. was called home to Glory on May 22, 2026. He was born Sunday, September 15, 1963 at Dukes Hospital in Peru, Indiana, the son of Clifford Willie and Thanet Leona (Butzin) Cavins. Cliff married Teresa Lee (Sadler) Cripps on March 13, 2010 and was able to spend the rest of his days aggravating and loving her with his whole heart.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Lee Cavins; children, Kyle Jordon Cavins, Morgan Leona (Evan) Chartier, Madison Lodema Kramp, Kyefer Wyatt (Kaitlyn) Cavins, whom he shared with Bobi K. Cavins, Noah Clyffe Cavins, Ian M. Cliff loved to build, fix and create things. He had a special talent for making things beautiful. He took great pride in his work and in everything he created. He never hesitated to help someone in need and was the kind of man people could always count on.
Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing, working on his boat and enjoying the peace of the water. More than anything though, he loved his family. He was so looking forward to swapping stories of Germany from his own time spend there during his enlistment with his son Noah. He was so proud of his kids and took every opportunity to brag on them to anyone who would listen. He adored spending time with his grandchildren, teasing them, making them laugh and loving them in his own unforgettable way.
Cliff will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though he was taken from us far too soon, we find peace in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8. We will miss his goofy antics, his laughter and the joy he brought into our lives every day. Our hearts are broken but we hold on tightly to the promise that we will see him again.
